Las Olas Networking Event To Highlight the Efforts of Women and Wishes 501(c)3

On Monday, May 20th, join Elaine Simmons of Women and Wishes and Luxury Chamber of Commerce for a delightful evening of networking with celebrities, philanthropists and purveyors of luxury goods and services. This unique networking and charity event aims to connect like-minded philanthropists through forming valuable networks which inspire community and co-branding initiatives. Women and Wishes is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization which assists middle-income women who fall between the cracks because they chose to work rather than receiving government assistance. Many of them are supporting young children and have no child support payments coming in. Women and Wishes helps them in whatever way possible financially.


This fashionable yet meaningful function will be hosted at Sushi Shack in Fort Lauderdale.

Patrons and donors will enjoy a fashion show with designer Lis Castella and her models, mingling with celebrities and local notables, a book signing by Amy Ballon, swag bags by Mandy Carter Michelle of Ft Lauderdale Housewives in the City, complimentary Lamborghini brand champagne, one complimentary cocktail, appetizers, a cash bar and door prizes. FORGOTTEN SOLDIERS OUTREACH, INC. AND PALM BEACH MEMORIAL PARK PARTNER FOR THE 14th ANNUAL

“ A DAY TO REMEMBER” MEMORIAL DAY SERVICE

 

Lantana, FL – Forgotten Soldiers Outreach invites the public to attend the 14th Annual “ A Day to Remember” Memorial Day Service hosted by Palm Beach Memorial Park, on Monday, May 27, 2019.   Service is from 11:50AM-2:00PM.

 

The Master of Ceremonies will again be Jim Sackett, a local veteran newscaster, and respected Media personality.

The program will also include other honorary guest speakers, including a Greeting from the Military by Sergeant Scott Martin United States Army.   The Keynote Speaker will be Major General Wayne P. Jackson (US Army Ret.) and also serves as a Director with Forgotten Soldiers Outreach, as well as many other military affiliated Boards.   

 

Other participants will be Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office Honor Guard, Boynton Beach Fire Department Honor Guard, Boynton Beach High School Marine JROTC,   Boca Delray Division of the US Naval Sea Cadet Corps, Lake Worth High School, Air Force JROTC, Royal Palm Beach High School, Navy JROTC, Boy Scouts of America, Troop 395, Cub Scouts of America Pack 241 and Girl Scouts Troops 20606 – 24501.  Patriotic Music & DJ – Brandon V, and much more.  USVII will have their submarine torpedo on display. 

 

There will also be Wreath presentations by local organizations and individuals, as well as a special presentation of the Wreath of Honor by World War II Veteran/Battle of the Bulge, Master Sgt Dale Strand US Army Retired              and Active Navy Reserves, Francine O’Brien.    There will also be the infamous dove release at the end of the ceremony.    The National Anthem will be performed by National recording artist who is known for her written tribute songs for our military and tours both homeland and overseas to perform for our troops known recording artist, JD Danner and God Bless America by Haileigh Galloway. There will be complimentary food and beverages immediately following the service.

Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer Hosts Its 2018 Board Appreciation Reception and Installation Ceremony

DDF welcomes five new and distinguished board members to contribute to its mission of raising awareness of stomach cancer and funds for research

Debbie's Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (DDF) hosted its annual Board Appreciation Reception and Installation Ceremony on July 19, 2018, at the DDF headquarters in Plantation, Florida. The ceremony was held to induct a new class of influential professionals to serve on the Board of Directors for DDF. Attendees included current and past members of DDF's Board of Directors, Corporate Advisory Council, Scientific and Medical Advisory Board, and Honorary Board. 

Guests of the reception enjoyed dinner and networking, and later participated in a ceremony recognizing current, incoming, and transitioning DDF board members. The newly installed members include Pat Campola, President and Founder of Campola Consulting and DDF Patient Resource Education Program (PREP) mentor; Jill Ginsberg, Board Certified Elder Law Attorney at Ginsberg Shulman Attorneys at Law; Christy Leonard, Data Manager at Perspecta and DDF North Carolina East Chapter Co-Founder; Tamar Shatanof, Certified Public Accountant and DDF's founding treasurer; and Mitchell Starr, Partner at Bienenfeld Lasek & Starr, LLC. Each board member serves a two-year term advising, governing, overseeing policy and direction, and assisting with leadership and general promotion of DDF as to support the organization's mission.
